ECF

The ECF (Extreme Creature Federation) was a big change to the world of CreatureWrestling. The demand came as a result of overcrowding on the CWF board comming from Gametalk.com players. The idea of an alternative E-Fed existence was actually something that was a plan since before CWF e-fed was created: having a network of cotn wrestling circuits and using the site as the central hub.

Unfortunately, the ECF wasn't accepted the way it was hoped at first. Players where too used to the CWF as being their 1 and only e-fed. The vision of expanding the genre was ambitious and risky. Along with the expansion was the use of a second RPG board. The board took some time to getting used too and eventually it did help smooth the CWF rpg board and a balance was created.

To be able to establish that ECF was equal with the CWF, the ECF had it's own titles made:

ECF Hardcore Championship

ECF Cage Championship

ECF Submission Championship

ECF TV Championship

The titles where quickly filled by mostly gametalk players, however the roster/title ratio didn't work and the titles where eventually merged into one ECF title called ECF X-Treme World Championship.

Finally as time pressed on, the creaturewrestling roster accepted ECF into their causal gameplay- however, the ECF RPG board was barely posted to. When the CWE was able to purchase the ads off of network54.com boards- a new ECF RPG board was created on the main account.

The ECF's strength was the ablility to expand the in-game environment. It was truly underestimated how important and vital the ECF truly was to the CWE. If it wasn't for the ECF, we would not been able to expand the creature wrestling undisputed title, include new events/ppvs, matches and develop the concept of Dual-PPVs (ppvs at the same time) and new story lines within independent as well as universal.

Even though the ECF RPG Board suffered the most- the ECF helped establish the golden age of creature wrestling. The brand eventually was used to even create District Promoters? and include the idea that brands can be bought. We had many ECF 'owners' throughout the course of CW.

As the CWE dwindled by player politics and real life, the idea of brand ownership was removed and changed into shareholding. This was because of the the problems consisting power playing in the e-fed and the lack of using the brands as an identity device overall. DP role was losing it's main purpose.

Today, ECF was brought back as an equal contestant in CW with CWE. The idea of DPs where also brought back as shareholders to the brand.

In storyline, the ECF was an attempt by the McMahon family to take control over all CreatureWrestling. The McMahon family failed and the brand was sold off in a bidding. The ECF was co-owned at first by Darkspade and Kefka.
