CW Code of Conduct:

1. On the message board, everyone will treat each other with respect.

2. The following is not allowed: X-Rated material, spam, obsessive swearing/cursing, racism, negative critics/flaming/venting, drama and putting down other e-feds in or out-of-character!

  • There are some exceptions depending on the storyline and purpose of the post. For example- if swear words are needed to express a situation. Never attack your fellow players personally.
  • If you bring nudity to the message board- there must be a significant amount of censoring. Such as cover areas that many may seem too graphic/sensitive: reproductive areas etc.
  • If you choose to use swearing or graphic forms of expression you must put (MATURE) or (MA) in your subject header.

3. Wrongful Account Creation: First time users are allowed to register only one character/account on CW. Users that create multiple accounts, create an account to impersonate someone else or a staff member, or create an "anonymous" account to post inappropriately will be removed appropriately and suspended. Multiple account/characters are granted upon approval by the staff and/or granted to players whom have developed trust and performance. Furthermore, a player cannot create another account/character to push one of their other characters in title matches/pushes.

4. Disruptive Posting Behavior: Users are expected to refrain from "trolling" threads and post with some level of maturity. Trolling posts include the following actions with the purpose of causing a disturbance in the community:

Spamming - Repeatedly posting a large amount of low content posts or threads.

Derailing - Making a thread's focus of discussion change to something completely different from the original poster's intent.

Quote Training - Repeatedly quoting a large nest of meaningless quotes in a post.

Necrobumping - Bumping an old thread for no reason whatsoever.

5. Racial/Ethnic/Sexual Orientation
Users are expected to respect others' racial, ethnic, and sexual status/orientation. Promoting racial/ethnic/sexual orientation hatred, using corresponding slurs to insult and/or degrade, or alluding to a symbol of such said hatred for vulgar reasons is prohibited.

6. Real-Life Threats
Users will be expected to refrain from posting threats directed at any user(s) that refer to violence in any form or nature to any extent that is not directly related to the forums.

7. Distribution of Others' Personal Information
Releasing any information regarding any one else's personal information about the real life or forum account specifics without prior consent is prohibited. This includes phone numbers, addresses, passwords, and private messages that are sent/received on CW. If the released information is public knowledge prior to the incident and is presented unmodified in any manner, it generally may not be against this rule, depending on the case.

8. Malicious Programs/Warez
Posting or linking to malicious viruses/programs, illegal programs, or information that helps attain mentioned programs is not allowed under any circumstances, whatsoever.

9. Moderator Interaction
Forum moderators are here to keep the board clean, safe, and secure. Users are expected to treat all moderators and members of the CW with respect. Inappropriate behavior directed towards the moderators will not be tolerated.

10. Obscene/Vulgar Behavior and Content
Posting material containing inappropriate references or links to human anatomy or bodily functions or are pornographic in nature will not be tolerated (unless by the nature/purpose of the storyline). Excessive use of vulgar/inappropriate language that is considered by the moderators as objectionable will also not be tolerated. CW is a work-safe board; If any image is considered unsafe to view at work or at school, it does not belong here.

11. Harassment
Harassing another user is prohibited. However, the nature of harassment is very fluid and it is up to the moderators' discretion on whether or not a remark is considered harassment. Flames, rants, and insults will generally not be considered harassment. If another user is following you around on the forums to constantly insult you, this may be considered harassment. If this is the case, discuss it with the harasser over PM or email before contacting a moderator about it. Posting images of users in a harassing fashion is prohibited. Keep in mind that moderators have the final say on the distinction between harassment and normal behavior.

------------------------------------

Failure to abide by the previous rules will lead to a warning or a banning of access to the website. Both are issued depending on the severity of the matter at hand that is determined by the moderator that is moderating that particular case at that particular time. If the breach of this code of conduct is severe enough, a user may be banned without any prior notice. Using a proxy to access or attempt to access CW after being IP banned will be considered computer trespass and appropriate actions will follow, to a moderator s discretion. Moderators have final say in any and all matters.

CW may add to, change or remove any part of the Code of Conduct at any time, without notice.
Any changes to the Code of Conduct or any terms posted on this site apply as soon as they are posted. By continuing to access this site, you are indicating your acceptance to this Code of Conduct.

All in all, CW is a free community that is for the users. You can interact with thousands of other posters at any given time, with a plethora of topics to discuss. Remember that this forum is all in good fun and that there are many different types of people who enjoy these services. While you may not agree with them on all stances, together as a whole can we interact and have a great time.

Overall, the CW Administrator may at anytime for any reason choose the appropriate penalty to you if you violate, disrupt the gameplay and/or provide a reason to suspect you for providing false information. The levels of penalties are commonly:

1. Warning: This is usually when a player has done something in the game or out of game that violated our rules/code of conduct but the moderator has decided to warn you instead. If you have been given a warning you are expected to improve and obey the warning. Warnings are covered with the 3-strike rule (see below). Moderators do not have to give out warnings depending on the severity of the violation and can move straight to any of the levels of penalties below:

2. Suspension: A player will be placed on suspension if you are found in violation of our rules. Once under suspension you are temporary unable to post and to interact with the e-fed and it's roster. There is typically a timeframe that you must wait until the suspension is over with. While under suspension, your behavior is evaluated and checked. Further discipline will apply if necessary.

3. Perma-Suspended: This means that a player has been officially suspended and can never re-sign to the CW. If at such a time a player wishes to re-sign to CW the only way that can be accomplished would be to undisputedly prove that a player has changed it's ways and have shown drastic improvements in both behavior, maturity and team work.

4. Banned: If a player is banned, then you will not be able to re-sign to the CW. Entering/interacting with CW and/or it's players will be considered as trespassing.

5. Perma-Banned: This is the same as banned but your IP Address is also blocked. If you are perma-banned and enter CW you are trespassing. You can never re-sign to CW if you were perma-banned or allowed to view the website/message board.

Behavior guidelines:

1. Overall, play mature. Do not bring drama to the message board or your post will be removed and you can be subjected to a warning and/or immediate expelling.

2. Let your opponent inflict damage! When a player attacks you in their post you must show that injury. If the player stays on that injury throughout the match- then show it is getting worse. If the players moves off of that injury- then you can show it's getting better.

3. Play Logical. Always read the post above you to stay in line with a match or story. If your reply is inaccurate you will be asked to edit post or we will delete it.

4. Do not expect to win all of the time. If you win all of the time you face being suspended. You must lose matches as many times as you win them in order to be bumped up the #1 contendership list.

5. Personal opinions should be done in private means (AIM, E-mail or any other method outside the CW Board and site). Why? Because when one publishes personal rants, especially aimed at the CW, that disrupts gameplay and players will become angered who don't want any part in the drama.

6. Creating invincible characters is not acceptable nor tolerated and you maybe asked to leave the game.

7. Respect when someone wants to play with you regardless your "Skill Level" or veteran status. If you turn down angles and storylines because someone isn't 'up-to-par' with your skills you will be given a warning up-to suspension if this reoccurs. If you cannot participate in a storyline because of real life issues or not enough time to play another angle then you can choose not to participate.

8. Respect the moderators. Since all players can edit their posts- respect the moderators of the board as well and do not abuse them.

9. You cannot hide behind bios. In other words, if you create a character that is uber invincible and cannot be touched - doesn't mean it's set in stone and one must obey the bio.

10. Everyone is to obey every single rule in the CWE regardless of position or abilities.

11. Columns/reports are things that can be done on your own time if they are approved by the Administrator. However, keep in mind that when you post on the CW site that you are using our resource to publish the content. Even though that this content IS YOUR creative property- you are still liable to the rules and guidelines of the CW! Reason is simple- the game has been set to play a certain way and your views may not be the same as others. You cannot shape the gameplay to YOUR way of thinking!

  • "Over-pushing" is not allowed in the CW. Over pushing is when you single out a player and post his/her activity over all others and making them stronger over all others (telling them they are better/superior over and over again is a no-no) over a period of time. There must be a balance- and if there is no balance you maybe asked to stop your column.
  • Covering over-pushing with normal articles/stories is still not allowed. This tactic is to save face and CW knows better.
  • Posting in character doesn't make you exempted from the rules just stated. Nor does posting in-character magically make you immune/above the rules.
  • Since columns have a high impact both on how a player is perceived and played- we ask that columns are free of rants/venting and drama.

12. Do not judge posts by how long they are made, or judge whether or not the participants altered the match for their game. It is NOT your business- players are given the right to have the matches they WANT!

Behavior rules that aren't included here doesn't mean that they do not exist! Overall- use common sense and be respectful of you peers and that's all you need to do.

3 Strike Rule:

This is the general system of regulating problems. However, the CW Admin reserved the right to move to a Strike 1, 2 or 3 depending on the seriousness of the situation:

Strike 1 - Warning and deletion of post.
Strike 2 - Suspension.
Strike 3 - Perma-Suspended or Banned from the game.

In-game/out-of-game:

These concepts are important to understand. The gameplay is imaginary. Real life or Out-of-game is when your not playing your character.

OOC and OOC Board

Out-of-character board is used to get in touch with your players. It is not, however, a board for vent/rant/argue/drama/ etc... Please use private means to resolve a problem before contacting the Administrator. OOC notes can be attached to at the end or beginning of a post- still obey the rules of how to treat ooc.
