How To Play?

You play the game by using message boards to write posts. The possibilties are endless with what type of post you want to do but here are some common examples:

Debuing:

  • If your a new player, starting a new character or just want to show the entire e-fed that your here- then you can post a DEBUT post. A Debut post can be a scene, challenge, interview etc... that is open ended and starts to form the structure behind your character. An example of a simple debut post can be this:

A debut if possible

by kaku
A strange man can be seen walking in the darkness the strange man is wearing a dark black robe and all you can see is his red eyes. the dark character starts to talk.

Kaku: my destiny awaits me. somewhere within the darkness i will find the light. I will finally raise hell again. The dead will walk the earth, And hell's gates will finally be opened to rain the fresh smell of death throughout the universe. At last i will finally be free of the misery and pain. NO! I will never be free of the pain. I try hard but it never stops the pain always keeps going. It never stops. MAKE IT STOP!! NO, i don't want it to, I won't let it.

the dark creature starts walking towards a building the man continues to talk.

Kaku: Yes, CWE. maybe they will finally cure my pain, NO! IT WILL NEVER GO AWAY NEVER!!! eventually the power will become too much the reaper of death cannot be stoped after that happends. there will be hell to pay for whoever crosses me. I will find my cure or cast my curse upon the cwe. They will never understand. I don't want them to understand me. I don't care if they understand me. The cards of fate has been drawn for the cwe. and it spells doom in there future

it suddenly starts to rain heavily and starts to storm as lightning strikes the camera and it goes to static.

Challenging/Call Outs:

  • A challenge post targets a champion, specific wrestler, group of wrestlers or even anybody interested to a contest. This step is cruical to begin a feud with a player and can take on many forms and in many varieties such as a backstage scene.
  • The contest typically is held on the next event coming up. -OR- you can challenge and fight on the rpg board (if it's official). Usually you put (Challenge) in the subject header of the post or indicate that this is a challenge somewhere in the role play.
  • Challenges can be official or non-official. BUT for it to be official you must contact the people involved in the challenge and agree to an official confrontation. A champion can drop their title in a challenge on the rpg boards for as long as their STF has ended, however, 1. you and the champion must agree to the drop; and 2. you and the champion must contact an official.
  • If it's non-official, then by default, the challenger can decide to accept your challenge or not (iow reply to you). If you put in a lot of work into the challenge and develop this- then the challenger will be ordered to face the challenge on an event- even if the challenger doesn't agree to accept your challenge. We do this so that your efforts are not wasted and a challenger cannot just ride you off.
  • TIP: you cannot include characters you do not control in a post (iow: write as them) unless you are in a stable (a group/faction), or gained permission.

RP Scene:

  • You do not need to write all the time as if your in an arena or even as if your on television. You can write RP scenes which are short stories that can be completely unrelated or related to the wrestling organization. RP scenes are a great way to develop your character and can drastically improve your writing style. It also can include many other people and provide a timeline for your character(s). RP scenes, if given permission, can be writen with other players in the scene (iow: writing as them). RP scenes are the most common type of post in the gameplay- you can easily recognise a RP scene because it doesn't challenge anybody to an official right-- but can include fighting.

Saga Posts:

  • Sometimes you may wish to produce a series of RP scenes that are epic and even massive (usually lasting for weeks or months or even years). These types of posts are a string of RP scenes that tell a story and can be interwoven with events. These usually tell a greater depth of a character(s) or situation.

Stable/Faction Posts:

  • A Stable/Faction/Group is a collection of wrestlers that have allied with one another for a common cause. If you join one of these then anybody in the group can write for anybody in a RP scene etc... There is usually an opposing Stable/Faction and you may also write scenes with those opposing people too- BUT you cannot post a post that has godmoding in it. Which means, writing a post that mindlessly attacks a player with no defense for them in the post.

General Career Cycle

Basically, your playing your entire career out on the message boards at your own pace. The Officials DO NOT write for you... Some E-Feds DO that.... NOT here on CW because we believe in developing our players into actual professional e-fed wrestlers. The biggest benefit to allowing players to post at their own pace without limitations to RPing or matches is that you get to have fun, develope your character to your timeframe and most of all, you get to experience a real wrestling career!

This diagram outlines the basic way we play the game. Your constantely developing your character & EVERYBODY is approachable on the message board regardless of their status. However, we advice that you contact players prior to an 'impromptu' attack or confrontation to eliminate issues.

The Cycle is pretty simple, you must first confront players somehow- whether actually posting your in the ring calling out or an attack etc... Then you must get with your players somehow (email, aim, or ooc board etc...).

Next thing you do is makeup an angle/storyline you want to follow- you don't really have to makeup everything from A to B but it helps to get an idea with what you want to do for next weeks or even months.

After that, you play your angle/story in anyway you want. Then, you engage in matches and you can either decide the win with your oppoent(s) -OR- allow the officials to decide for you. You could have many series of matches.

Finally, you end your angle and then further develope your character. Such as winning a championship, you would want to play your reign out by posting call outs, challenges, or even bragging about how good you are... it's limitless.

B4Pro

B4Pro is the life before Professional Wrestling in the CWE. This uses it's own board and you can access B4Pro by touching the B4Pro button on the navigation menu.

We have several forums for B4Pro and cater to certain styles:

  • B4Pro Wrestling School: This is the main area of play. The player can post anytime that they want and can post any of the post types we covered. However, missions and special matches are only posted by an official. You then earn CB (CreatureBuck) points to spend for special items and privileges on the message board. Including, being able to purchase a contract for CWE.
  • Xeality Show: This is a Role Playing Post that is only setup by officials that takes place in one setting: a reality show for B4Pro wrestlers in a Ranch house! This helps develope your characters and to have fun.
  • Dark Stories: This section is devoted to anything other than wrestling. Could be dark stories or even participate in special role playing environments.

Magic

  • No matter if you are a supernatural character or a normal human being, magic does not give you an advantage in a match. Only in darkweight matches can you use magic!
  • Most matches are determined by mortal abilities. Only when a match was designed to have magic in them can you have magic in a match. However, A spell called "Magic Lock" is placed on every wrestler no matter what style you are. The magic barrier is made when a character in-story signs on to wrestle- so no matter how strong you are in magic your bound by this agreement. The magic lock concept is to set players both mortal and not on the same grounds.
  • You can use magic to introduce your gimmick when approaching the ring or confronting a player in a standoff (see more below). But once the bell rings you cannot use magic unless it was designed to be using magic.
  • IF your in a match that uses magic, you MUST balance your match with wrestling moves. You cannot block every single move or brush it off from your oppoent. This is referred to as godmoding. We simply do not allow it. Additionally, using magic will tire your character out. This idea MUST be played even if your 'godlike.' If you use too much magic/magic all the time in a match you weaken yourself and must show that or the match win will default to your oppoent(s). Further discipline will apply.
  • You cannot win with a magic move unless it was approved by your partner(s). Magic should only be used to enchance and excite the match.
  • Default Magic rules (even out of ring):
    • You can use magic out of the ring to produce stunning entrances and even attack your oppoent: mortal or not.
    • The more magic you use AGAINST another wrestler offensively, the weaker you become even out-of-ring.
    • You cannot KO (knock-out) an oppoent using magic or defeat them using magic unless it was agreed to by the oppoent ahead of time.
    • Exaggerated physical moves are allowed which maybe based on magic but not entirely. An exaggerated finisher move must have some believability associated with your character's physical abilities.
      • Example: Player A uses a spinning tombstone piledriver on Player B. It is impossible for a person to spin a tombstone in the air before impact. But, there IS some believability and there was no magical referrence. The person doing this impossible feat cannot be a 110lb lightwieght for it to be believable. But a person with a magical background that can lift huge objects into the air with ease can.

If you feel an oppoent is breaking the rules of magic. Please address to them politely in private first before asking an official for help. Most of the time, the person doing the moves doesn't realize that they are breaking the rules/going a bit too far.

Team or Solo Play

1. You can have unlimited amounts of alternative characters throughout your career here in the CW, but no more than 4-6 characters active at one time.

2. Alternative characters can hold titles at the same time your main character holds one- but you can't monopolize the title ranks and its expected that your alternative characters will have shorter title reigns than your main character (helps with title rotation and fairness).

3. You cannot fight your own alternative character(s) in a battle for a belt.

Players with multiple characters with titles have the same rights as two players in a tag team
