In 2003, CWE's CreaturePost concept (which was an ambitious project to document, highlight and promote the efforts of the players fairly) evolved to take form into an actual online e-magazine.

The idea that was in place was to create a uniquely functional magazine website as if the person was viewing this magazine on a portable device (think of blackberry portable devices of today).

The result: CWE's ECast player! The ECast was an amazing approach to telling the tales of the e-fed. It had Creature Hype, Trading Card Game, Goldy's F&Qs, Women On Top, Advertising and a CWE Address.

One of the amazing breakthroughs with the ECast player was the use of new technology at that time. This included Quicktime MP4 movie codec and different movie programs to bring this together an interactive experience.

Unfortunately because of time reasons and comittment to constantely produce events and other projects- the ECast was put on hold and faded into the history books.

Today, the CW Owner decided to use more efficient methods to post news on a webpage- including a content management script that allowed quick posting with little effort on the part of the author. There was now no need to constantly re-design a web page as the script posted the content automatically. There has been some plans to bring back the ECast, however, each time there was an attempt- the CW owner was sidetracked to devote more attention to in-game development and management of the website overall.
