Jack.E.Breaker

Jack stares through the destroyed shop window, waiting patiently for Overkill to re-emerge as he slowly reaches into his leather jacket then just as slowly pulls out a blade by the tip, takes a step back then holds it just by his ear, taking the stance of a throwing position. If Overkill’s sword can’t do any damage to him, then this peculiar blade will. Flat, about ten centimetres long and only three millimetres wide in the middle, the clear, sparkling, diamond blade narrows at both ends to just a very narrow point and the edges are razor sharp. The perfect throwing weapon. Jack watches with eagle eyes, waiting for the precise moment that Overkill will stand up straight, which would be the perfect time to throw. About thirty seconds after taking the stance, Jack eventually spots a dark figure rise up along with the wing that fully outstretches. Suddenly, Overkill dashes out from the shop window and as soon as the Cold Mans face is fully exposed by the light, Jack throws the blade straight at the head of his enemy with amazing velocity but OVERKILL PULLS OUT HIS KATANA AND WITH A SINGLE SWIPE, DEFLECTS IT WITH HIS BLADE, THEN SPRINTS AT JACK WITH HIS KATANA PULLED BACK, BUT JUST AS OVERKILL SWINGS THE BLADE, JACK DISSAPEARS FROM SIGHT AND OVERKILL HITS NOTHING.

Overkill turns around and faces the shop with the shattered window. He can feel Jack’s presence and pinpoint it to the shop. Overkill then snaps his head up towards the top of a skyscraper, then around to another shop behind him, then back to the shop with the shattered window. Overkill’s head keeps snapping to the left, right and up towards the skyscraper as Jack teleports from place to place, then re-emerges behind Overkill. Overkill spins around whilst swinging his katana at Jack’s neckline but Jack ducks behind Overkill and as soon as Overkill spins around, Jack delivers a high kick to the face that knocks Overkill back a few steps then charges, leaps off Overkill’s bent knee and drives his own knee up into Overkill’s face with such force that Overkill is turned inside out and lands face first onto the concrete. Overkill immediately presses himself onto his feet and tries to shoot in on Jack, but Jack disappears then reappears behind Overkill, grabs a hunk of Overkill’s long, silver hair on the back of his head but Overkill elbows Jack hard in the stomach then grabs him by the hair THROWS HIM IN THE DIRECTION OF A ANTIQUE SHOP WINDOW BUT JACK AGAIN DISAPPEARS FROM SIGHT JUST BEFORE HE COULD CRASH THROUGH THE WINDOW.

Overkill grits his teeth in frustration as he again pulls out his katana and holds it in front of him. It seems to be practically impossible to deal any serious damage on Jack because of the effectiveness of his teleportation’s. Every single time that Overkill starts to get the upper hand, Jack just disappears then reappears to get the upper hand back and what makes it worse is that Overkill has no way to attack Jack when he disappears. How ironic is it that it used to be the other way round before this battle begun. Overkill knows that he must wait for Jack, and then when he appears, deliver a heavy beat down to prevent him from teleporting again. So Overkill jumps up in the air and flaps his wing repeatedly to keep him in the air. He flies at ground level, the tip of his boots only centimetres from the concrete and the katana still held out in front of him in both hands. Overkill continues to fly with pace, his senses fully aware of his surroundings but after a minute of flying, Overkill finally spots Jack on the roof of the Destiny Hotel with that peculiar diamond blade in his hand and brings it across his throat as he smiles a twisted smile.

Nombaroo

Overkill drops a few centimetres down onto his feet, he knows Jack is up to something but Overkill cannot resist the temptation, he leaps up into the air his wing fully outstretched and proceeds to gain height until he gets a few feet above Jack’s level, Overkill moves towards Jack but as he picks up pace he realises that his approach to Jack is getting slower! Overkill beats his wing as hard as he can but Jack is still getting no closer, Overkill knows this is Jack’s doing and as he stands on the hotel roof watching Overkill Jack himself slowly slowing down time!!! Overkill watches as Jack moves at almost incomprehensible speed, Jack back flips up onto a small wall on the top of the roof. Jack holds that sharp diamond blade in his hand the teases Overkill, knowing full well that should it be thrown Overkill would not be able to do anything about it.

“So you think you can dodge things, immune to pain are. Well try this on for size…”

Overkill knows that Jack has called his number now, Overkill in his depleted time bubble slowly reaches for his katana but he’ll never make it in time to reflect Jack’s blade. Jack throws the blade directly at Overkill but it stops in mid air, hanging in the air, Jack smiles a demonic grin at Overkill who can only watch as Jack places his hand in his jacket pocket AND PULLS OUT ANOTHER TEN OR MORE OF THOSE DIAMOND BLADES!!! JACK THROWS ALL OF THEM AT OVERKILL!!! HE WATCHES ON AS OVERKILL CAN DO NOTHING ABOUT THEM, OVERKILL HAS JUST MANAGED TO PULL HIS SWORD OUT OF HIS JACKET BUT IT’S TOO LITTLE TOO LATE AS THOSE BLADES ALL BURST INTO OVERKILL’S JACKET AND THE BUBBLE OF SLOW MOTION AROUND OVERKILL DISSIPATES. Overkill’s body limply drops out of the sky as the shards of blade are stuck in the very skin and flesh of the cold man, there is no sign from Overkill of any movement, no sign of any attempt to keep himself in the air as he lets go of his sword, which too tumbles towards the ground.

“Sweet fucking dreams”

OVERKILL PLUMMETS TO THE GROUND CREATING A MASSIVE DENT IN THE GROUND AS HE FALLS DOWN ONTO A CONCRETED PLAZA, CONCRETE SLABS ARE SENT SKYWARDS AS OVERKILL’S MANGLED BODY SMASHES DOWN INTO THE HARD EARTH

Jack watches on from the rooftop as dust from broken slabs and dirt obscures his view, his ultimate victory over Overkill, he gazes down below realising that finally he has laid the demonic Overkill to rest, he smiles to himself as the dust settles but to his utter dismay one of HIS diamond blades shoots out of the debris ripping the skin and material on his arm, Jack looks to his arm and then back to the mess on the floor below. He watches as an arm appears from the mud and then another as Overkill DRAGS HIMSELF OUT OF THE HOLE IN THE FLOOR!! Jack takes a step backwards shocked at Overkill’s indestructibility, Overkill drops down to one knee and looks to be in a bad way, Jack grins menacingly as he disappears and reappears straight away next to Overkill on the floor below, Jack lifts Overkill up and begins to swing him around by his feet, Overkill doesn’t even put up a fight as Jack throws Overkill skywards.

Overkill manages to somehow regain his marbles a bit whilst in the air, his wing unfurls and allows Overkill to turn himself the right way round, he is shaken and isn’t in a good way, he looks down at Jack down below. Jack keeps his eyes locked onto Overkill but something else has caught his attention, Jack’s eyes slowly drop to a small bit of liquid on the floor, in a puddle, Jack kneels down on one knee and touches it…blood. Jack snaps his head up at Overkill who seeps blood from his chest which is covered by his long black flowing jacket. Overkill reaches and pulls his katana out, the thing that has allowed him to do some form of minor damage to Jack in this epic battle thus far, Overkill holds it in both hands and gets ready to strike from the skies above…

“I could never remember…Does metal conduct electricity? Let’s find out…”

Jack laughs manically to himself as the clouds over Overkill grow darker and more sinister, Overkill readies himself with that steel katana, Overkill begins to drop down towards Jack at speed but suddenly Overkill hears a crackle above him…

OVERKILL WATCHES AS A BOLT OF LIGHTENING COMES CRASHING DOWN ATTRACTED BY HIS METAL SWORD, OVERKILL BODY IS ENGULFED BY THOUSANDS OF DEGREES OF HEAT AND KILOJOULES OF ELECTRICITY, THE SWORD ONCE MORE SLIPS FROM OVERKILL’S GRIP AS THE METALLIC DIAMOND BLADES EMBEDDED IN OVERKILL CONDUCT THE ELECTRICITY AROUND HIS BODY!

Overkill smashes down on top of a building as steam rises up from the top of the building from the grilled dead man, surely Overkill couldn’t have survived that, could he? Jack teleports right up to the rooftop to find Overkill lay motionless, his jacket is tattered, burn marks all over his clothes but yet his skin and hair remain unscathed and the katana that lies blade down on the roof is not melted, not even looking like it had been hit with a lightening bolt. Jack lifts Overkill up in both hands he walks over to the edge of the building and looks down at the floor many hundreds of feet below, Jack looks as if he’s going to just drop Overkill off the edge of the building…

Jack.E.Breaker

With the charred and bloody body of his nemesis in his arms, Jack continues to stare down at the streets below, then looks into the Cold Man’s eyes. “It’s been fun” Jack whispers to the body, then extends his arms downwards and lets Overkill roll down his arms and plummet down the side of the building. Jack shuts his eyes as his head points downwards, not even bothering to watch the impact. Overkill had survived so much, his indestructibility had been such a hurdle to climb but the last time they fought, the fire axe to the face made Overkill bleed and when that happened, Jack was able to walk away from the battle. When he bleeds, he can die and despite still existing after last time, Jack is sure that Overkill is no more, that revenge has finally been dished out and that in just a few moments, he will black out and wake up in his king sized bed next to his beautiful wife, ready to start that life of eternal happiness with her that the powers that be promised him. Jack slowly opens his eyes, removes the sunglasses from his face and stares down at the street with that misty eyed stare. Jack cannot see Overkill, the distance from the ground is too great but still convinced, Jack holds the sunglasses off the edge of the roof before releasing them and walking away….

…but as soon as Jack reaches the door, that familiar, intense chill runs down his spine and that is when his satisfaction turns back to anger and frustration. Jack quite literally kicks himself, a right heel to his left shin to be precise. He had experienced Overkill all this time and all because of these powers, he had underestimated his seemingly endless resilience. And he had to chuck those fucking glasses too. Jack slowly turns around and stares out at the edge where he had thrown the Cold Man and waited. He could feel Overkill ascending up the building, probably flying and his feelings are backed up when he hears the wind from the sheer power of the flapping wing, then spots a brief glance at the tip of the wing. Jack continues to watch as Overkill grabs hold of the roof with his hands then pulls himself up on top of it and stares at Jack, his face a picture of pure rage. Overkill’s rage intensifies as he watches the blade slowly move along the rooftop, picking up pace until it lifts into the air and Jack catches it with his left arm by the handle. Jack walks over to the opposite side of the roof with The Fallen’s katana in his hand, then speaks these words…

Jack E Breaker: Why can’t you just stay down huh? I know you’re a tough and mean fucking bastard after all, you have been a big part of my life for quite a while now. It doesn’t matter that you didn’t die this time round, or the time before that, or the time before that because I am better and more dangerous than you now Cold Man, and as long as this battles still going, you’ll most definitely be dead by the end of it. Now COME AND GET ME!

Jack then holds the sword out in front of him in his right hand and points it at Overkill, before turning one hundred and eighty degrees and throwing it off the side of the roof. On cue, Overkill pulls out his crucifix, jumps up in the air then flaps his wing to keep himself up and flies in Jack’s direction with pace. Jack bursts into a sprint at Overkill and when they near, Jack ducks the pointed crucifix end aimed at his head then turns around and sprints at the Cold Man who isn’t as fast at decelerating, and by the time he turns around, Jack is already in range and Jack jumps up and clocks Overkill in the face with a straight right fist. Overkill is knocked out of flight and he lands on his back whilst smacking the back of his head against the concrete tiles. Jack keeps his distance as Overkill kicks back up onto his feet and Jack moves in with a straight left jab to the face, a straight right to the face then lifts up his leg and aims for a high kick to Overkill’s head but Overkill ducks and when Jack spins around, Overkill ducks low…

…AND THUMPS JACK IN THE THIGH WITH THE POINTED END OF THE CRUCIFIX IN HIS HAND, JACK SCREAMS OUT IN AGONY AND OVERKILL YANKS THE CRUCIFIX OUT OF JACK’S LEG AND STABS JACK IN THE STOMACH!

OVERKILL PULLS THE CRUCIFIX OUT AND JACK STANDS THERE, BLEEDING PROFUSELY FROM THE STOMACH AND HIS THIGH. OVERKILL RETIGHTENS HIS GRIP ON THE CRUCIFIX AND AIMS FOR JACK’S HEAD BUT JACK TELEPORTS OUT THE WAY BEFORE OVERKILL CAN DELIVER THE FINAL BLOW. Overkill can still sense Jack’s presence. It’s almost faint, but much more precise now. Overkill looks frantically to the north, desperately trying to spot Jack to he can fly over and deliver the fatal blow to his wounded enemy, but spins around at the other side of the building as Jack re-emerges right near the edge, delivering a message of defiance to The Fallen. Overkill sprints at Jack, but what he doesn’t realise is that the wounds on Jack’s leg and stomach are rapidly regenerating and when Overkill is in striking distance, Jack dodges the crucifix that shoots past his shoulder, hooks Overkill’s head and leg then jumps up and falls back, taking down Overkill and smashing his face against the concrete with a downward spiral. Jack rolls onto his belly then pushes himself onto his feet, Overkill kicks back up and throws a straight punch to Jack’s face but Jack catches Overkill’s fist in his palm then executes a side arm takedown, quickly gets back on his feet then backs away from Overkill and a panting Jack waits patiently for the Cold Man to get back onto his feet….
