Once long ago there was a unique and gifted boy by the name of Spade Death. Spade was unique in that from an early age he exhibited supernatural powers such as: telekinesis, reality warping and the capability to slow time in his mind to advert current disasters. As Spade's inherit powers grew he felt that he was a threat to others... and after a tragic incident with a close boyhood friend- Spade was traumatized since he was the reason for his friend's passing... however, even still, Spade did not tell his parents: Jones and Lorelle Death out of fear that they would not love him anymore.



However, what Spade did not know was that he belonged to one of the oldest, most ancient, Creature of the Night clans in the world... and that his 'powers' were perfectly natural. Spade's parents kept this knowledge hidden from him because of an ancient prophecy from the great Death Family grimiore:

"On the last stroke of midnight, before the dusk meet the dawn, a miracle shrouded in disaster will come to present. For two twins be born- one of light, the other of dark- but it will be that on this very night a dark force shall re-emerge. A dark force hidden within the passage of family blood will escape the chains of Apocalypse and rain the end of days upon us all."

Spoke of an event that the elders held in secret. When Lorelle gave birth to her two twins they were born exactly at the last stroke of midnight... Spade and Serin Death. The only thing the elders could do was to suppress the twin's powers through isolation, secrecy of their heritage and suppression through the use of magic... it worked, at first, but what was realized was even though Spade and Serin were torn a part and kept in different secret parts of the estate's ward: they had a spiritual connection. When Spade's powers surfaced, so did Serin's powers surfaced. The death family were out of options until an arcane school teacher by the name of Mortismere promised that he had the answer to prevent Spade from ever using his powers... Mortismere branded Spade with a seal that absorbed his powers and it made the Death Family very happy.... Finally a solution.



And so, Spade of Death grew to be a fine young promising man and became very close to his schoolteacher: Mortismere. Mortismere even assisted in entering Spade into the university and this led to Spade meeting his love: Julie.



Within the years at the University: Spade learned the fine arts of economics, various martial art styles and technical wrestling-- all promoted and often taught by Mortismere, since Mortismere achieved the rank of tenured Professor.



Then there came a time when Spade's powers re-surfaced and the branding was not working... Spade would receive immense headaches and often having to leave class mid-lecture and by doing so- Spade often saw his physical reality distort in-front of him. This was when Spade began to hear malicious 'voices' in his head telling him to do mischievous acts of violence.



Spade immediately went to Mortismere with the news- and Mortismere revealed to Spade his true nature in life and urged for him to not seek revenge on his family but to instead, to learn how to control it.



Mortismere revealed all of this without even telling the Death Family that Spade knew... for a time. Mortis began training Spade in the Dark Arts, until Spade's older brother, Damien, visited Spade and Julie and saw that Spade had in fact been using his powers- a tremendous argument occurred between the brothers and Damien banned Mortismere for good from the University and from the family.



Once the Elders knew- Jones and Lorelle revealed to Spade that they were called: Archangel and Death's Wind of Death. Spade was furious over this revelation but the family continued to keep Serin secret. In an act of defiance to his family's bloodline and in that he loved Julie - prompt Spade to ask her hand in marriage! Thinking that- by marring a human woman that it would evoke a sense of disdain to the Death Family.



What Spade did not know was that Julie was a Creature of the Night- but more specifically- she was the last known Vaolrixous left alive! Not even the Elders knew about this fact, but Mortismere did.

Then the night of horrors came...

Spade married Julie in secret while on the Death Family grounds when his parents were on vacation, and on the night of the wedding, Spade's powers emerged at an even more predominate manner and he was hearing the 'voice' again... During the bride and groom dance- Spade wasn't feel well and he retired for awhile. Mortismere emerged from behind a column and told Spade that his brother was here and took advantage over Julie and were in bed together!!!



Furious, Spade scrambled up the stairs while being bombarded with the 'voice' and in his mind saw Damien with Julie together touching in the master bedroom! This escalated into an all out fight which caused the guests to overhear! When certain guests intervened they saw Spade and Damien in a bloodied mess. When pulled a part- Damien yelled at Spade that he wasn't touching Julie, and instead was invited by Mortismere and told that his brother was upstairs ready to talk!



Spade was not having any of it- and told Damien to leave. The voice in Spade's mind was dictating everything and once Spade turned towards Julie he struck her with a blunt candle-holder which made her bleed and nearly unconscious... Members of the family emerged and held the furious Spade back- Julie ran for her life- down the stairs and outside in the cold snowy night while in her wedding dress!!



The deranged Spade of Death followed after her to the remains of the Death Family Temple and in his mind's eye saw Julie being devoured by a black demonic wolf! Spade emitted a powerful beam of energy that could be seen miles away and as well felt by the Elders including Archangel and Death's Wind!



It was too late for Julie, she was gravely injured but not before she gave birth to twins at the last stroke of midnight. However, Spade never saw the children born... he was too derange and distorted to see anything along with the fact that his family took him into custody right there and then.

From another perspective, the perspective of Damien along with family members: including the arrival of Archangel and Death's Wind at the scene- Spade was alone and HE attacked Julie with a dark power!



To no one noticing- Mortismere watched everything unfold - and Charon was born, he witnessed a tremendous power emitted from her striking down a column and nearly killing Archangel of Death. This intrigued Mortismere greatly and he disappeared in the darkness with this knowledge, however, he was not long enough to see that there was another child born: Kali.



Spade was convinced that he had nothing to do with her murder and that he was innocent of crimes once Damien and the others took Spade into custody.



Once Archangel and Death's Wind came back, they first separated the two twins which were girls and named them: Charon and Kali of Death. Spade was held in a grand Death Family trial and only through the power of foresight did the Death Family bare witness that Spade was innocent but a demonic possession was at fault. Be as it may- Spade was held responsible for the invalid wedding and attack on his brother- but was never told of the inner demon residing inside of Spade... hence, the fulfillment of the prophecy.



The family decided to banish Spade for good and seal him in a marvel coffin for all of eternity. At the morning of the banishing- Mortismere showed up and saved Spade but not before massacring the members present and setting fire to the execution grounds! Mortis was able to mask Spade's power and leave behind false evidence proving that Spade died.



From that moment onward, Mortismere worked along with Spade to sabotage the Death Family's financial circuit and divert funds into a private financial account to fuel Mortis and Spade's black marketing. The Death Family eventually found out as billions were drained- and then the next wave of attacks came in the form of Mortismere's assassins taking out many Death Family members.



Spade, now legally re-named as Spade Deathen, was told by Mortis that Spade had a daughter - which immediately caused Spade to seek out Charon. In truth, Mortismere was ready to extract the dark power residing within Spade and to make him his eternal slave, while keeping Charon on the side just in case SHE was the chosen one. But in order to accomplish this feat, Spade had to give into the Unholy Darkness willingly... which up at this point he still resisted despite the years of tutelage. Furthermore, Spade did not see Mortismere for what he truly was... and had no idea about the existence of Unholy Darkness., though, Spade always felt that Mortismere was evil.



There finally came a dreadful night when Mortismere's forces kidnapped Charon from the Death Family estate and brought her to his Castle: Castle Mortis. Spade saw Mortis' 'true' identity as Mortis caged Charon in his torture chamber, finally after the many years of servitude - when Mortis shredded off his disguise and revealed to be a demonic being of unpure evil and destruction!



Charon was tortured and the Mortis' brand was burnt into the backside of Charon as a result of the torturing in order for her to accept the Unholy Darkness willingly. Spade could not bare to see her hurt any longer and he made a deal with Mortis to accept him instead.... a scheme all along and formulated by Mortismere since he became aware of Spade's dark power.

What came next is what would change the fate of Spade Deathen forever.

Without Spade's consent- Mortismere could not do the unthinkable... but with it, Mortis had the right to own Spade's soul.



After a dark and disturbing ritual: Spade was pulled a part in three entities:



1. Body: Physical representation of Spade and all of his abilities
2. Soul: The consciousness of Spade
3. Spirit: The essence of Spade



Mortismere was looking for the source of Spade's power... and once Spade was separated an artifact emerged in the form of a Dark Crystal. Instead of disposing Spade, Mortis assigned him the name DARKSPADE... Charon was kept at the tower but soon escaped before Mortis could tear her down and make her a servant by the help of her later lover, Kizmat.

DARKSPADE, the Unholy One... servant to Lord Mortismere.

With DARKSPADE fully under control of Mortismere- the next set of targets were the patriarchs of the Death Family!! After a long drawn out battle between Mortis' dark forces and the Death Family: DARKSPADE and Mortismere eventually reached the nexus of the family and disposed of Archangel after an unmatched two-on-one fight... Archangel's body was dumped into a river whereas Death's Wind used the last of her power to give up her life to protect the Death Family from the Unholy Darkness. As a result of her sacrifice- the control Mortismere secured over DARKSPADE's mind severed and the Crystal of Darkness shattered into two identical pieces. One of the pieces was absorbed into Mortis' cane while the other piece was transferred into Serin's body.



DARKSPADE became fully aware but hid this secret to Mortismere... The rest of the Death Family hid in secret until Mortismere found them hiding at an internet wrestling circuit called theundertaker.net. DARKSPADE stepped up and promised to round the last remaining Death Family members for mass extinction if he was able to use Staff of Mortis (with the one-half Dark Crystal shard) and become promoted to Unholy Minister to lead the cult-group: The Heels of Mortis.



Mortismere agreed- and DARKSPADE lead an army into theundertaker.net with sole intentions to eradicate the Death Family for good but in actuality, DARKSPADE was seeking his daughter Charon which he eventually did but what he found was a person who didn't know who or what she was.



While on theundertaker.net, DARKSPADE quickly rose to become a major threat to all of the Creatures and was self-proclaimed as the most dangerous and evil villain in the history of all COTNs... it was very clear, that he was.



But while DARKSPADE ran rampage during his stay on theundertaker.net, Spade was also becoming a house-hold name and quickly caught the attention of Alexander Arcane. Alex approached Spade with an offer to draw the Creatures into a new wrestling organization called, COTNRPG in payment of destroying the Death Family and re-uniting with Charon.



Darkspade agreed... and on December 11th 1999 history was made when COTNRPG went on the air. The COTN Champion, Darkhag was amongst the many who flocked to COTNRPG and as the organization grew and grew and grew until it evolved into The Creature Wrestling Federation (CWF).



CWF was the hottest most dynamic wrestling organization in the entire world! And for Darkspade, it was a dream come-true as his family members also emerged to fight him. Then the unthinkable happened, DARKSPADE defeated his nephew, Raven and became the #1 Contender to the COTN title and then DARKSPADE went on to effectively defeat Darkhag to become the FIRST EVER CreatureWrestling champion.

The Unholy One's Career....

Within the past 15 plus years, DARKSPADE has changed and matured to be, hands-down, one of the greatest Creature Wrestlers on the face of planet Earth!



In recent events- Darkspade battled his daughter, Charon, in many epic and legendary encounters... and learned about the Death Family prophecy and the real murderer of Julie: The Dark Sincentius!



Darkspade became whole again; and Spade with Charon sacrificed their lives in order to break the chains that Mortismere placed upon them to remain immortal in an epic battle. However, Mortismere, Charon and Darkspade were stuffed into a hyper-dimension between life and death where we discovered that Spade Death was the Guardian of Balance.



There was to be no parade because Sincentius and The Guardian of Wickedness, Red Spyder, threatened Spade with the life of Angel of Death, The Guardian of Righteousness. In an effort to stop Sincentius and Red Spyder- Spade separated himself back into the three entities to prevent the Gate of Apocalypse from opening... but it was too late, at least, for the fact that the last Gate required a different key.

One of the greatest icons of Creature Wrestling is the infamous Spade Deathen a.ka. DARKSPADE! What makes this singular man so formidable is more than his veteran ring skills and his legendary title reigns--- but his bizarre links to all of the universal stories that exist in the Creature World!! Darkspade is a sick, twisted, perverted psychotic mastermind........... but what else could rest behind that dark chapeau.... is anyone's dreadful guess. He is both respected... revered and feared. Mortis brainwashed and trained Spade into a powerful mage using the power of the Unholy Darkness. Spade defied his family's wishes and married a woman called Julie, but tragic events cut their marriage short and Spade was banished for eternity.



Now an outcast- Spade turned to Mortis for guidance and accepted the Unholy Darkness willingly. In addition to changing his last name into: Deathen. After taking on the name, DARKSPADE. Spade went about the COTN world to spread his master's "teachings" and to ultimately seek revenge on his family. After leading the Heels of Mortis in 1999 and early 2000- DARKSPADE rose to become a megasuperstar- wrestling in the CWF. By taking full control of the faction meant to take over the world, The Unholy Ministry, Darkspade leads a powerful force that has never been outdone.



DARKSPADE is a legend in this sport. Having been the first and only Creature of The Night to win the Undisputed Title 4 times- the Unholy One has practically done it all.



Spade Deathen is an unusual character in that everything from the character's physical attributes to his family's past is shrouded in deep mystery. Overall, Spade Deathen is a combination of multiple personalities that are always fighting for balance. The experiments done by Mortismere turned Spade Deathen into a deadly weapon. Because of the experiments, even Spade Deathen does not fully know who he is or what he is.



Ever since Spade Deathen murdered his first wife in cold blood, he blames his actions on "the darkest sin." This sin has manifested into the form of The Dark Sincentius. That sinful act was the turning point for Spade Deathen, he has been lost to The Unholy Darkness ever since.
