Interview with The Absolute Undisputed and Mortal Wrestling Champion: DEADBLOOD

After the CW Logo appears proudly and then fades, we are taken inside of the CW Studios with Micheal Cole seated with papers shuffling in his lap.

Micheal Cole: Welcome CW MegaVerse to a VERY special interview…. an interview that has been a long-time-been-coming. We are at the eve of the 15th Year Anniversary Show and even though Amile Bubilefark had her fill of ‘questions’ to ask my next guest- I believe that the more serious questions are still in need of asking this gentleman. I speak about the one and only…. he is the not only the reigning Absolute Undisputed Champion of this sport but he is also the Undisputed Mortal Wrestling Champion- indeed- the first ever double Undisputed Champion….. His name is none other than, DEADBLOOD. [the camera shifts to show the champion opposite of Micheal Cole with the two ominous title belts across his shoulders]

Sub-Zero-1

Micheal Cole: Deadblood, on behalf of me and of the entire CW MegaVerse… welcome.

Deadblood: Thank you. It’s my pleasure to be here. So shoot away….

Micheal Cole: Cerrtainly…. I will start with the first question: Why did you want to become a CreatureWrestler?

Deadblood: When I first discovered CW, back in 2004, I saw a roster that, while impressive, came off as very under-challenged. So I came in with that sledgehammer I carried around with me back then and started hitting people with it. That got their attention, as being hit with a sledgehammer often does. A lot of that attention was a dislike of what I said and did, but it was an attention that I felt and still feel was something not seen for quite a while at that point in CW. It also told me that I was right for CW and that CW was right for me as well, giving me opportunities that are pretty much unheard of outside of this company.

Micheal Cole: What is your ring philosophy?

Deadblood: I like to keep my opponents guessing. That’s why I wear my mask when I’m in a match. If the only part of my face that they can see are my eyes, then it becomes almost impossible for them to tell what I might be thinking. My size seems to throw some of my opponents off too. I’m a little smaller than your average MegaStar and that allows me to move around in the ring a little quicker. They expect a lot of high-flying moves out of me and I think I certainly deliver plenty in that area, but when I go outside of that area and go for say, some kind of power move, it tends to catch them off-guard.

Micheal  Cole: How is your business relationship faring with the promoter of the company?

Deadblood: Mr. Arcane and I have a strong understanding with one another. We have certain expectations from each other that are always met and I believe that it helps to make us an unstoppable force in CW. Mr. Arcane’s methods might be a little a unorthodox, but he knows what he’s doing. He knows what’s, as they say, best for business.

Micheal Cole: Can you explain your feelings towards being the first ever dual undisputed champion?

Deadblood: Being the first ever dual Undisputed Champion is a great feeling, to say the least. To win the Absolute Undisputed Championship on the night of my return to CW, at the 14th Anniversary show, and then to win the Undisputed Mortal Wrestling Championship at CreatureMania XI is the kind of accomplishment that I know is most likely a once in a lifetime opportunity and I also know that means I have to make my time as champion something that the MegaVerse won’t forget about anytime soon.

Micheal Cole: Are you intimidated by those that want what you have? To be the very best?

Deadblood: To say that I don’t feel any intimidation at all would be a lie. Of course I feel some intimidation. There’s three MegaStars who seem to currently want what I have: Gojinn, Kizmat, and Darkspade. All three of them are bigger than me and all three of them are creatures while I’m just this mere mortal. I’ve defeated Gojinn and Kizmat before though and I’m confident that I can defeat them again. And the only reason I haven’t defeated Darkspade before is because I haven’t had the chance to face him yet. I realize that Red Spyder recently returned as well and I’d think that he has his eyes on my title belts like everyone else does, but I don’t really know where he stands. That guy’s a wild card if there ever was one.

Micheal Cole: Do you consider yourself a legend present of in the future?

Deadblood: Well, I’d like to think that I’ll be considered a legend, but that’s really up to the MegaVerse to decide, isn’t it? If they’re enjoying what I can give to them as a MegaStar and still remember me ten or fifteen years down the line, then yes, I do believe that will make me a legend. If I’m lucky, maybe even a future Hall of Famer. It’s hard to tell what lies ahead in this sport, me becoming the first dual Undisputed Champion being a great example of that, and it’s even harder to tell who the MegaVerse might care about from month to month. Everything can change in an instant.

Micheal Cole: What accomplishment are you most proud of? Where do you see yourself in the future of this sport?

Deadblood: You might expect me to say that becoming the first dual Undisputed Champion is my proudest moment. It’ll probably end up being the crown jewel of my history in CW anyway. But what I’m truly proudest of is when I won my first title, the ECF X-Treme Championship. It was a triple threat barbed wire ring ropes death match between the Limit, Hellraiser, and myself. To win that title belt so early on in my career as a wrestler was something that made me prouder than I think any words can truly express. As far as my future goes, let me just say that CW is my home and dual Undisputed Champion or not, I plan to stick around for a long time.

Micheal Cole: What is the biggest mistake you’ve made and what did you learn from it?

Deadblood: Without a doubt, getting stabbed by Gojinn in a street fight. I know he likes to brag about that and I know he wishes it’d been fatal for me. It wasn’t though and in a way, perhaps he should view that as his biggest mistake, because well, as you said, now I’m the very best. And Gojinn? He’s not. So I suppose what I learned is to be more cautious in general, to not underestimate my opponents, and to take any opportunity I can when I want something.

Micheal Cole: Can you explain the unusual impact we’ve seen the title belts have on you?

Deadblood: The Absolute Undisputed Championship and Mortal Wrestling Undisputed Championship are more than just title belts. They’re a part of me. They’ve attached themselves to my soul and help drive me forward through my matches. For me, winning them felt like turning the fire up even hotter in the engine of a speeding train. None of my opponents have been able to stop that train and I know that satisfies Mr. Arcane very much.

Micheal Cole: Anything else you would like to say to the CW MegaVerse?

Deadblood: I hope that the MegaVerse continues to enjoy my work, because it all comes back to my original reason for joining CW: challenging my opponents in ways they don’t see often, if ever. I might not run around hitting people with a sledgehammer still, though maybe I should now that I think about it, but I’ll always push myself to give the MegaVerse the brutal, entertaining matches that they deserve.

[Micheal Cole leans forward and the two shake hands]

Micheal Cole: Thank you for your time, Champ…. and good luck with your match on the 15th Anniversary of CreatureWrestling.
