Blood Thunder

On September 14th, 2004, a brief series of promos began airing, each one stating, "The blood will begin to flow soon." On the 17th, as previously indicated in the promos, Blood Thunder made his debut.

Blood Thunder: "My name is...Blood Thunder. I've come here looking for a challenge. See, I heard about how great the superstars here are supposed to be so I decided to watch it for myself, but I was unimpressed. I'm hoping I will be proven wrong, but I doubt it."

These words attracted the attention of Celtic Black Knight of Chaos and a masked man, who attacked Thunder with a steel chair to the point of needing stitches in his head. Enraged, Thunder picked up a sledgehammer and marched around backstage until he found Celtic, bashing him in the face with the hammer. After a couple more blows and performing a Shooting Star Press off of a ladder nearby, which he called the Thunder Bomb at that time, he challenged Celtic to a steel cage match. Celtic accepted, but the match never happened due to Celtic's disappearance. Instead, on September 29th at CWF is MAD, Thunder was supposed to fight Acid Rayne in a hardcore match. Unfortunately, Acid Rayne failed to show up, further delaying Thunder's debut match.

On October 4th, Blood Thunder found a new possible opponent in MisterTL, who was also making his debut. Thunder welcomed TL with the same sledgehammer he previously attacked Celtic Black Knight of Chaos with. Gojinn, Rage, and Kizmat decided to also greet TL in their own ways. When this failed to lead anywhere, Thunder couldn't help doing a little bragging.

Blood Thunder: "Did they leave out of fear after they saw what I am capable of? I think so. Hell, I didn't even lay finger on Acid Rayne and he left. When I first came here to the CWE, I said I was unimpressed with the superstars here and hoped that I would be proven wrong. I have yet to be proven wrong."

Not only did the X-Treme Champion "The Limit" Mathew Williams have a response for Thunder, TL decided to get his revenge by throwing Thunder through the CreatureTron. This prompted Rage, who previously spared TL any violence, to appear and assault TL, finishing him off with a sitdown powerbomb. MisterTL's pain didn't stop there, for Thunder went looking for TL the next day, finding him in the arena's parking lot. Ripping the door off of TL's car with his motorcycle, Thunder again used his sledgehammer on TL, pinning him down with it to deliver more of a verbal assault.

Garnering Attention

At the November 10th, 2004 CWE X-Treme Punishment PPV, Blood Thunder finally had his first match, facing The Limit and Hellraiser for the X-Treme Championship in a barbed wire ring ropes death match. The match was nothing short of violent, featuring a twenty foot ladder, a nail gun, and plenty of cut open flesh thanks to the barbed wire. No one could have thought Thunder would actually win the match against his two more experienced opponents, but he did, giving him his first title. Post-match, he was a stitched-up mess, but that didn't stop him from preparing for his next match against Gojinn.

After hitting the gym one evening, Thunder decided to go to a bar where he found a woman named Adrianna being hassled by a biker gang. While she'd managed to deal with a couple of them herself, there were many more remaining. He was unable to stop himself from attacking the bikers himself, even with the weapons they were armed with. Angering the remaining bikers, the two fled from the bar on his motorcycle.

Blood Thunder: "Those bikers would have torn you apart and are going to the same to me if you don't hurry up! I can't take them all on."

When he learned that she had no home of her own, Thunder took Adrianna back to his apartment, leading to the beginning of their relationship.

At the November 26th ECF HAVOC, Blood Thunder faced Gojinn in what would turn out to be a friendly match compared to later matches. During the match, Hellraiser came down to join the commentary table, acting as a brief distraction before heading backstage again. In the end however, Thunder managed to successfully defend his title after another violent fight.

On January 13th, 2005, Thunder received a call from Hellraiser, the new half-owner of ECF, demanding Thunder appear to defend his title against a newcomer, Venom. Not appreciating Hellraiser's attitude towards him, Thunder barged into Hellraiser's office to both verbally and physically assault Hellraiser and Venom.

Blood Thunder: "No! You listen to me you little piss ant! You may be DP, but I'm the Xtreme champion here! Not you and certainly not Tinkerbell on the floor! If you want to give out title shots for my Xtreme title then you don't just hand them out like Halloween candy! Especially to pieces of crap like that!"

Hellraiser, furious at Thunder's behavior, declared that as punishment, he would forced to defend the X-Treme Championship at every CWF and ECF event in hell in a cell matches. But first he had to face Venom in an empty arena, anything goes match, ECF Sheriff Kizmat present to prevent interference. Gojinn sat in as well for a few reasons, the least of which was his continued interest in the X-Treme Championship. The match started with Venom apparently fighting nothing. Thunder mocked this when he finally showed up to the ring and despite Father Richards and Jack "Powerman" Ace interfering, Thunder still won the match after sending all three off the edge of the stage stuffed inside an equipment crate.

After Wolf overrode Hellraiser's decision to place Blood Thunder in only hell in a cell matches, Thunder again faced Gojinn with the X-Treme Championship on the line at January 28th ECF PRIMED, this time in a ladder match. Both men pushed each other to the limit, but in the end, Gojinn came out on top. It was Blood Thunder's first match loss and he disappeared from the public eye.

Deadblood

Blood Thunder's reason for disappearing from the business was a simple one: he needed back surgery thanks to injuries caused in his matches. After his surgery, he developed an addiction to morphine and painkillers. This continued for most of 2005, until in September when Adrianna left him and the next day, a friend of his expressed concern for his well-being. Their reactions were a wake-up call and he quit the drugs, throwing them away. The make sure he stayed off of them, he returned to wrestling, now under the name of Deadblood, wearing a black mask to hide his true identity from fans and wielding a katana instead of a sledgehammer. After four weeks of working for an independent promotion, working his way through the roster to a title shot, he realized that wrestling alone wasn't enough to keep him off of drugs. By chance, he found his solution in the form of vigilante justice.

On a night similar to when he met Adrianna, DB was driving his motorcycle home from the gym when he was attacked by a gang unrelated to the previous biker gang. They were well-armed with M4s, but thanks to his skill as a wrestler and with his katana, he managed to cut his way through the gang and their hideout before blowing the remaining members up with a propane tank.

A few more weeks later, DB received a phone call from Kevin McKain, offering him a shot at a new wrestling career that he was happy to accept. On December 2nd, 2005, he made his big time debut as Deadblood, brought out by McKain to none other than Gojinn, now calling himself King Gojinn. Gojinn didn't recognize DB thanks to the mask and he was quick to piss off Gojinn.

Deadblood: "You're the king of beating your meat!"

Gojinn: "THE FUCK DID YOU SAY?!?!?!"

It wasn't long before DB and Gojinn started brawling, both spilling blood, only stopping when McKain called for security to pull them apart and declaring that they would face each other in a morgue match at the next event, adding that if they touched each other until then, they'd both be suspended. On December 23rd, Deadblood and Gojinn met for their match. With a variety of sharp instruments such as scalpels at their disposals, the match quickly got violent. Gojinn continually tried to unmask DB, but failed to do so and also failed to win the match.

That same night, DB returned to his apartment to find that Adrianna had returned to him after seeing his match on TV. Their reunion was short-lived however because the next day, the gang he fought not long before broke into his apartment, kidnapped her, and set the place on fire, hoping DB would burn up with it. He escaped however and immediately went to Wang for weapons before going after the gang. Making his way through their territory, he killed any gang member he came across with his katana and guns. Eventually discovering a hidden weapons factory, he made his way through it until he found Adrianna. It was too little late though because almost as soon as he found her, the gang leader slit her throat. The gang leader then tried to fly away in a helicopter, which DB destroyed with a rocket launcher.

Despite Adrianna's death, it wasn't long before Deadblood and Gojinn were back at each other's throats. DB decided to continue questioning Gojinn's skill as a competitor, leading Gojinn to attack DB, ironically with a sledgehammer, and another brawl occurring, only ending after DB powerbombed Gojinn through a table. Gojinn wasn't finished however and announced that their next match would be a street fight. On February 13th, 2006, the match started in the ring, but quickly spilled out of it to the backstage area and, eventually, to the streets where it belonged. Near the end, Wang drove up in his egg roll van and tossed Gojinn his own katana after hitting DB with a barrage of egg rolls. After an intense sword battle, Gojinn managed to get the upper hand by stabbing DB in the guts. Upon removing DB's mask, Gojinn was completely shocked to discover who was under it.

Gojinn: "Why....why didn't you tell me....? You son of a bitch...why..."

Deadblood: "F......f.........fu........fuck...."

Afterward, Gojinn simply walked away.

Resurrection

Deadblood was left for dead and he likely would have died had a mysterious group simply known as "the company" not quickly taken him from the scene for emergency and ultimately life-saving surgery. It took him a while to recover, but when he did, in exchange for saving him, they expected him to work for them. They'd been keeping an eye on him for a while before his stabbing and liked what he was capable of with weapons. The work would keep him away from wrestling, but that was fine, for the money he made from just a few jobs for "the company" amounted to far more than what he'd ever made as a wrestler. The work mainly consisted of assassinations and he repeatedly proved to them that they made the right choice by saving his life. Just like his previous days as a wrestler and his brief work as a vigilante, he continued carrying a katana and wearing black masks to hide his face when necessary.

One job in particular, one of few non-assassination jobs, would introduce him to Sheri Stull. Partnering up with someone else from "the company" was rare, but the job was considered high risk. They were sent together to Colombia with weapons to trade for money with the cartel. Wisely, "the company" didn't trust the cartel and it wasn't long into the job before things went wrong. While meeting with La Espina, the cartel group's leader, they turned on DB and Sheri and tried to tie them to chairs. Sheri prevented this by using her telekinesis to take out the guards, though La Espina managed to escape.

Deadblood: "Damn, nothing's ever simple . . ."

DB realized Sheri's powers wore her energy down, forcing him to help her along in their escape, cutting and shooting threw and blowing up the cartel along the way. Eventually fleeing into the jungle, they managed to take out the remaining cartel members with a bomb. Finding La Espina in a jeep, trying to reach his men over the radio, DB slit La Espina's throat, freeing them any immediate danger of the cartel.

Familiar Territory

On November 30th, 2013, Deadblood received a contract to kill the Promoter of CreatureWrestling, Alexander Arcane. With a strong loyalty for "the company", DB didn't hesitate to accept the job. At the 14th Anniversary Show on December 11th, DB came down to the ring as Gunther tried to convince Alex to crown him the Absolute Undisputed Champion. While his true reasons for being there were related to "the company", he figured he might as well have some fun by making a public return. Besides, it would give him the opportunity to get close to Alex. What DB didn't count on was becoming mesmerized by Absolute title in a way he couldn't quite comprehend at the time. Shooting down Gunther's ideas of having himself made champion, Alex quickly stepped in and told both men off. DB refused to back down however, putting his desire to win the title for himself over his real job.

Deadblood: "While everyone else in this company who once cared about that belt, except the clown with the mullet have seemingly disappeared, I'm here, ready to claim that title and become more than just another CW legend!"

Gunther: "Awh sexy . . . it's flattering that you want that hot belt, but I've already claimed it for my own sexy waist! Now if you two sexy beasts don't mind, I'll go ahead and take my . . . mmm . . . new belt!"

This was enough to convince Alex to make a match for the title right then and there. Using nipple cheese to distract DB, Gunther tried to beat him down, but he was able to secure a quick and easy victory. Praising DB, the Promoter personally handed him the Absolute Undisputed Championship and they shook hands in the middle of the ring. As he held the title, DB could truly feel the mysterious power of the title.

Just days later, Alex and DB arrived at the CW Headquarters where the NSA was being thrown out finally. While describing how right it felt for him to be the Absolute Champion, they headed up to Alex's office. Once there and seated with champagne, DB started questioning Alex about the title and what its mysterious plates were made of. Alex carefully avoided answering with any detail while trying to convince DB that he didn't need to know more than he already did. Getting tired of hearing about what the title would eventually reveal to him, he decided to make his move, questioning the security of the office before bringing the blade of his katana to Alex's throat. Instantly, the office locked down and Alex's security officers rushed in with their crimsonlight guns. DB still had the opportunity to kill Alex, but if he did, he would die too. Calmly, Alex attempted to talk DB down and while DB did back off, it had just as much to do with his curiosity about the power of the Absolute belt as Alex's words. Explaining to Deadblood the history of the belt, starting with the Creature of the Night Championship held by Darkhag, Alexander then gave DB suggestions on how to channel the power of the belt's plates

Deadblood: "Nice history lesson but that doesn't answer my question, now does it. What does it do? How can I tap into it's power?"

Alexander Arcane: "I am not sure exactly, how to activate it's power. Only that it is like a super drug to it's holder. I suppose by channeling your thoughts and emotions through it like medium can you unlock your inner most dormant abilities... Why. Give it a try?"

Following Alex's instructions, DB was able to form a ball of crimsonlight in his palm, launching it harmlessly at the ceiling of the office.
