Twenty-five years is a long time—and this is incredibly potent when you are addressing a game in a prestigious subculture with a status quo accepted as the way to play e-Feds that CreatureWrestling never has done and thrived!
When CreatureWrestling was conceived, I was 21 years old. At the ripe age of 46, in February, it is fantastic to see this life-long project still trucking along. CreatureWrestling invented supernatural e-Feds- there was nobody before us. Bold statement- but I was there in 1998 when we would role-play on TheUndertaker.net- the types of websites were small fan sites, and any notion of an e-Fed was conducted via email/text messaging. We developed the standard- CWE has had a long, windy road, no lie- but we are still here, and developing stories and matches, and I am very proud of CreatureWrestling.
Also, as I said before, when I consider the future, I intend to continue with CreatureWrestling until I cannot. Although I am semi-retired, posting for a few weeks during breaks, I am still open-minded about trying new things. I pride CWE for not following the status quo of most other e-Feds. Still, I have to admit that, unfortunately, as I stated before, the web trends, and current expectations in our day and age make it such that CWE is its worst enemy in our approach when we are trying to rebuild a roster. So when I get another opportunity at a break, perhaps Spring break in about three months, I'll see how to adapt the eFed approach of "promos to win," but honestly, I do not think it will make too much of a difference. The only way this eFed can be rebuilt is if people are willing to stick with it, remain patient, and keep an open mind. Trust me, I will always be here to help you, but that is the actual reality of the situation.
But the future looks awesome for CWE in that we continue to fight forward and still produce stories, content, and memories that are unlike most places. CWE has reached a gigantic milestone, and continuing for this long shows a lot. I'm looking forward to another decade and more. Thank you, CWE, and to all of the players it supported over the 25 years.
