Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back when I started up CreatureWrestling in 1999, as I mentioned before, I had 0 exposure to eFeds.... I made it up as I went. Sure, there were failures and experimentation (which often pissed off people who did not quite understand why that was so important to do...)- but ultimately we landed on a revolutionary concept: an environment that has very few creative limitations and PLAYERS GET TO DECIDE THEIR OWN OUTCOMES.
From time to time, I may come across an eFed that breaks the status quo- even by a little bit, and so I came across this Reddit post:
https://www.reddit.com/r/efeds/comments ... ?context=1
It sets the environment 300 years in the future and explores creating characters that do not need to be anchored to real-life humans. I am very glad that this exists and all hope for them, but I must still point out that they still align with certain elements of the status quo, such as RP word cap limits and the way wins are judged. What I am pointing out here is: why are there any limitations at all? One of the biggest reasons is to have equity and some sense of order and fairness- I do get that; however, those things can still be accomplished if it were promoting collaboration. Collaboration is the keystone which tends to be a problem moreover with many eFed wrestlers- because what I have experienced first-hand is that people like to be the gods of their writing and trajectory - but they must also embrace differences and accept that not everything has to be a certain way all of the time such as not having images in their RP writing or on a pay-per-view *cough*
Anyway, all power to these guys. I hope they succeed.
