So, to those possibly reading this lol- you can see that I have slowly changed things as we inch closer and closer to that delicious time of the year for teachers, minus Summer break, when I can devote some time here.
The changes have been slowly happening since the summer, really— I made it my mission to go out and venture into other eFeds: for personal growth, to understand the audience out there, and to test some theories.
But going back to here:
When Red Spyder decided to call it quits like 8 years ago (insane, saying that), he and I said "fuck it" and just went all out with the absurdity of the eFed. I admit it might have been too over-the-top, but whatever. He left my eFed because he felt he was done with this genre and wanted to do other things, I get it, however, I think him cutting ties the way he did was a mistake as a growing writer, and even disheartening- because he cut ties with everything related to CWE and myself- even closed many of his media outlets. I mean, I don't really get it. I can only speculate.
I know his reason for leaving was to move on with life- but I think it was also because he wanted more people to play with. I still think he missed the point that, although it's cool and all to have an extensive roster, a large one might not be all it's cracked up to be. This genre exists within an already existing subculture unique to Wrestling. I could not give him the roster he wanted. And still to this day. But does having a roster actually matter? I contemplate it- but ultimately, I do not believe that it truly matters.
So when I thought about bringing CWE back in 2023, I had this wild idea of running a solo eFed with occasional posts from my spouse here and there.
Did it work?
Well yeah. Insane to say it- but we also added two CreatureManias!
Now that CWE has been open for over 2 years, what is my goal/vision? Is it to gain a roster? Is it to play for myself? What is it?
I think the simple answer is I enjoy playing. When you strip away all of the bells and whistles and competition, all this is is a place to write stories- it always has. And that fact alone is why CreatureWrestling has always remained on the internet for 26 long years! Can you believe that?
So I didn't announce CWE's birthday, which already passed on December 5th, but I am here to say, happy birthday to CreatureWrestling. Even if only one person is playing on it- CWE still Kicks Ass 24/7!
Happy Birthday to CreatureWrestling! 26 Years in the making!!
