Little over a month to go! Resuming main storyline & plans

Finally, the month countdown is here. Upon the second week in June, I will be resuming operations with the main storyline- I already mentioned the plans I have in store in a previous post: https://creaturewrestling.com/megaverse ... .php?t=950

So speaking about that- I purchased the game- I honestly haven't bought a WWE 2k* game in over a decade because I hated the play controls- but for the sake of enhancing the e-Fed, I've been toying with it already, and it has promise.

For the other thing to point out, the eFed reopened in 2023. This experiment worked for the most part when tackled as a solo e-Fed, with occasional assistance from my spouse. But hey, it's produced some amazing stories and continuance. Teaming up with another e-Fed has also unlocked potential stories and the evolution of my main character and Charon.

I expect to continue this for as long as I can. Does this mean I have given up on recruitment and at least some degree of a roster? Honestly, I think I've always had since 2005 lmao. Even back then in 2005 the landscape of people interested in this at all was at an all-time-low- this hurt any notion of any "darkside" e-Fed.

I noticed, even back then, that web trends and interests were shifting from a massive Undertaker/darkside wrestling fan base to a bleak one. And given the status quo (you can read up a lot on my perspective on that lol) - that hurt recruitment.

I am not saying that it is impossible to recruit, but it practically is. It is slightly discouraging to see some of these new eFeds spring up by folks who want to be promoters, with message boards hosted on freebie platforms that look very limited, and they basically operate in the same way... then somehow, someway, they get players. I cannot, in good conscience, change this e-Fed to follow the status quo- I have done some adjustments which do bring in some status-quo concepts such as alternatives to match writing but I do not want to eliminate what makes this e-Fed unique. I technically can honestly create a brand new e-Fed, including the URL name to something totally aligned to general wrestling, without any reference to super-naturalism - with biweekly PPVs, RP limits, the whole nine yards, but I personally would hate that- it would kill me with my limited time- why do that?

I plan to use a solo e-Fed approach and advertise this game on platforms like the e-Fed Hub and crossovers. Ironically enough, wasn't this what I initially intended to do when I made up this whole thing back in 1998 with COTNRPG? LOL.

I actually really enjoy not having to deal with player drama and playing babysitter more than half the time because of it. Holy heck, does it feel awesome not having to deal with that? And because of that, you notice that I can focus on what I care about most: writing and developing media for stories, and finally enjoying this. With that said, I feel great knowing that the main story is resuming and there's endless potential in the future. Does this mean I am against any players joining this? Of course not. But I am not going to go out of my way to recruit people. I do not care about a massive roster- sure, it would be cool to have some people to interact with and whatnot, but I know from experience that having a large roster can be more of a bad thing than a good thing.
