Part 2 of the Real-Life Promoter of CW

Phillip: It must have been an amazing time playing at CreatureWrestling! I remember there were some times I posted too… do you have any favorite characters? You play a TON! and HOW do you do it? What inspires you to write?

Darkspade: Hahaha well to be honest anything and everything inspires me- or just it comes at the most unusual times- like driving to home from work or when we see a movie lol. It’s just spontaneous and yeah there are some obvious inspirations from pop culture films like The Underworld, Star Wars, Bladerunner, 1984, various Manga-based films and many other sources- I just really do what any artist does and that is assembled a mix of ideas and create new ones from them. I take on a lot of characters not because of a multiple-personality disorder haha but because quite frankly I am very good at story writing. I find it that if you develop a cast of strong characters that your stories flow much more smoothly because you can control them quite like a director can when he/she conducts a video shoot. I know no one in this entire sport who has as many characters as I do and has as much in-depth development put into them. I do have characters that are just there for transitions or to boost up another character but I often try and tell my stories for my characters in sequences, or sagas often called in CreatureWrestling. Oh….and as far as the favorite character…. that’s very hard to do but maybe it’s suprising to hear but it’s not Darkspade. It’s Lord Mortismere because that character has been the keystone in ALL of the characters, aside from the funny ones.

Phillip: Goldyke…..

Darkspade: Oh GOD MY TEE HEES….. don’t go there haha… it is what it is 😛

Phillip: You know where this question is headed…. I got to ask… um hum… the “Efed” wars….

Darkspade: Ho boy. I knew this was going to come up one way or the other… but I am not going to waste my time or yours or the audience reading this because of the immaturity and stupidly of the people who caused said drama… I will say this though, we proved them all wrong in so many ways it’s funny lol. I am proud of CreatureWrestling. I know who legitimately put in their time along with me with the project and I thank them for that – though still, the E-Fed was a company and a lot of people wanted it for themselves because of the popularity it brought to them. I did what was right. Yes I wasn’t 100% professional at times, heck I was in my early 20s, but when I look back at it I did the right decision- maybe with not the right timing– but nonetheless I had every right to stop drama in the ranks and a lesser man should have given up but I didn’t.

Finally like Raven said on the 10th anniversary of CreatureWrestling four years back- there were too many cooks in the kitchen trying to create the perfect stew- but I added on top of that this: CreatureWrestling went to the people who deserved it and we fought hard for it and it’s still here. It may not have a billion players on it and quite frankly no one does; it may not be like it was in the CWE days; but the way I see it is that: CreatureWrestling keeps evolving and growing and developing. It came back after a two year hiatus that even I am surprised at! I am happy… content and thrilled to play with true friends.

Phillip: Thanks DS. I know how passionate you are and how a sensitive topic that is for you. But I know you moved on and wow the E-Fed is brought back to life with nothing but back-to-back amazing stories and killer trons…. and isn’t CMXI made using a different one?

Darkspade: Thanks! oh I am farrrrrr over the drama haha but I won’t stop to keep reminding that, yes, compared to the amount of E-Feds I’ve seen and been involved in- CreatureWrestling is one-of-a-kind and I’ll continue to boast about it because we earned it. I know that the stories we’ve made came as a result of Anniversary shows and this past few were in collaboration with Charon, Red Spyder and Sheri. Truly shows that it has nothing to do with numbers but the fun factor. CreatureWrestling has always been fun, innovative and ground-breaking and I think that word “evolution” speaks volumnes with us and it’s not surprising that cool trons are thrown into the mix…. oh…. and yes… haha the last tron was created using Edge Animate. I teach that software at the Art Institute among with Graphic/Web Design and Programming so it just was a natural fit for CreatureWrestling! How did you like it?

Phillip: OMG! IT WAS AWESOME!! I know you said you get inspiration from many sources– but the trons… don’t they tell a story?

Darkspade: They do. Unfortunately even though I’ve worked with a Professor and friend who is a documentary director on camera shoots and web work- I don’t have access to models and a big budget of course lol to make these trons… also I work so much I get very little time… but I essentially look around for videos which correlate to what I imagine for the story to take place… I react a LOT to what I see and I think there’s no true method to it other than that I make it up as I go haha but magically it all falls into place.

Phillip: Can you tell us a little more about what the CMXI tron means?

Darkspade: Well I am not going to disclose all of the answers… but it’s related to Queen Lilith. Since we’re coming right off of the Gates of Apocalypse Saga- the next Saga will be essentially a period which will show just how our characters have evolved from the threat before. I sorta left all sorts of clues in the Gates saga… and in the tron to show what’s going to come next!! It’s going to be yet another exciting story to play with! I can’t wait! and Red Spyder along with his friend, Sheri, have agreed to work with the story project with me 🙂

Phillip: Nice! Well anything else you would like to say before we end?

Darkspade: Yes! Well I am not sure if CreatureWrestling will continuously get posts in- but like I said, that’s not the point. The E-Fed is a remarkable place – and have fun and be creative! It’s truly the Home of it’s own sport- we haven’t seen nothing yet! And also expect that yes, DARKSPADE is BACK to his old seperated self…. and he isn’t happy.
